Perfume is a ‘personal choice’ and often reflects our personality and the way we feel about ourselves at any given occasion. It lifts our moods, boosts our morale, and gives a signature to our character and preferences.
June came up with the concept of designing fragrances that would symbolise her journey to this point, based on the biblical character Queen Esther
The notion of using the first letter of her name and that of her two children, became an intergenerational branding known as – JDL (pronounced as Ju-del)
As a single parent who raised her children, June believes undoubtedly, that this role by far is her greatest achievement to date. She attributes her gifts to her faith, her village and the positive impact of her late parents – Madge and Jeremiah Ross
Her daughter Levine has obtained her doctorate and works as a clinical psychologist. Her son Daniel is also a graduate in football business and media.

Our Founder
June Ross MBE is the Founder & CEO of Esther Community Enterprise (ECE), the largest black-led consortium of foodbanks in the United Kingdom. Her non-profit organisation feeds more than 60,000 people a week with numbers increasing monthly. She has appeared on the platform of the 700 club, a Christian broadcast company based in the USA, where she has shared the story of her dream becoming a reality.
June’s achievements have led to her being awarded by the late Queen of England – Elizabeth II, on two separate occasions. She is also the recipient of a Batons Award which is a leading platform that recognises female pioneers in Britain.
June is a self-published author of the inspiring book “A Call by Royal Appointment” which depicts her faith and gives personal insights of the challenges she encountered along the way.
Undeterred by her social status, June along with her army of volunteers, have impacted the lives of millions of households across the UK in the last 21 years and continue to do so.
